I had such a great Mother's Day! Don made a yummy breakfast and the kids gave me the cutest little cards and gifts.Easton gave me a cute little tissue paper flower that he had made in preschool with his picture on it and pictures of "Scooby Doo" and a dinosaur that he had colored and cut out. He is totally into Scooby Doo, Dinosaurs, Star Wars and Transformers right now. He is all boy!
Elle gave me a really cute card she made and a "cookbook" that her 1st grade class put together. It was such a fun idea. All the kids thought of a recipe that they love that their mom makes and wrote down what they thought the recipe is, along with a little message of why they love their mom. It was so funny to read what all the kids wrote. Kids are so funny! Their messages were very sweet too.
(Elle's favorite dinner is orange chicken, but the real recipe is a little different.)

We had my mom over and Don made a great dinner! Happy Mother's Day mom!So, I probably shouldn't admit this, but it is pretty funny. Let's just say Don says that I am "time challenged." Being early or even on time is probably not my strong suit. That being said, we always get to church a couple of minutes late. No matter how hard I try to have the kids ready way ahead of church, someone is always missing a shoe or has food all over their face by the time we need to go. It stresses Don out to be late and I feel bad. So, on Father's Day last year, I told Don that I wanted to make him breakfast. He said that all he really wanted was to be on time to church and not to worry about breakfast. And guess what? We were on time. ( I guess that proves we can do it.) So this year, for Mother's Day, Don said that he wasn't going to stress or worry if we were late. He didn't even bat an eye when I wanted pictures of the kids before church and yes, we were a few minutes late. :) But Don just laughed and said, "I'm not worried. It's your day." It's kind of our little joke now.
