The little things...

Elle and Easton were so excited to see some sun that they had to go out and have a winter picnic. I think they were suprised at how cold it still is!

Jayne always ends up sleeping in the craziest positions but this one might top them all...Both feet are sticking out of the other side of the crib!

Easton loves his baby sister! The other day he was talking to her and out of no where said, "I'm so glad you came to our family, Jayne." It was so cute!

Saturday morning cartoons (Notice Easton is smiling but couldn't take his eyes off the show for 2 seconds)

Valentine's Day

Don and I had dinner at Log Haven to celebrate Valentine's Day a few days before the mad rush. It was so pretty in Millcreek Canyon.

Us and Foxes at dinner

Elle loves holidays and was so excited to set the table "fancy" and have a fun breakfast.

Easton and his breakfast (Don had church meetings most of the morning)

The kids woke up to find their Valentine treats--their favorite candy and a fun craft to make these bead people. They love art and crafts! Don and I had fun making funny Valentine's for them the night before.

Don loves boats so I painted this picture for him for Valentine's Day. (I'm a total beginner at painting, but it was fun to do.)

"Stinky" the fish and Michael Jackson?

Easton got a pet goldfish from a birthday party about a month ago. He was so excited to have his own fish and named it "Stinky." Last Monday, we woke up and found Stinky floating in his fish bowl. Easton was devastated so we told him we would have a little funeral for him and then flush him down the toilet. We said we liked Stinky because he was orange and swam a lot and because Easton liked him. Easton laughed a little bit but when he actually flushed the toilet, he cried again. It was so sad! We told him not to worry because Stinky was in Heaven and could swim all he wanted now. We said he was with Uncle Jay and Ashley now and Elle's fish, "Princess." Then Easton asked, "Is he with Michael Jackson?" It was so funny! Where did that come from? We let the kids watch part of the music from the "This is It" Michael Jackson movie because they love the song "Thriller" and apparently, it made an impression. Easton loves Michael Jackson now...

Basement Campout and Gma Irene's visit

We are anxious to go camping when the weather gets warmer, but since we can't be outside yet, we decided to have a campout in our basement with the kids. They were so excited to blow up air matresses and have all of us sleep in sleeping bags. We watched a movie together, read some books, played "steam roller" and of course, Don had a pillow fight with them. It was so much fun! We will definitely do it again.

Elle and Easton love to get Don with the pillows!

My mom came into town the last week of January and was able to spend her birthday with us. The kids were all so excited to see Grandma Irene! We are glad she is moving back to Utah soon so we can see her more.

The best chocolate cake! Happy Birthday!

Opening presents

Jayne moves for Bingo pieces!

We are SO happy!!! After months of trying to find something that is interesting enough for Jayne to want to get so she will try to crawl, we found out that she loves Bingo pieces! We were playing Disney Bingo with our kids a few weeks ago and Jayne was sitting by us playing with toys. All of the sudden, she really wanted the Bingo pieces and then started to roll side to side and push up on her toes to move forward. We stopped our game and were clapping and cheering for her. She loved it! We are hoping, the real army crawl will come soon now that her iron levels are back up and she is feeling better. Yeah Jayne!

Robots, Splits and Barbie Jeeps

Elle and Easton had this funny idea that they wanted to build a robot so Don said he would help them while I was skiing. They had so much fun!

The finished robot turned out pretty cool! Although, I think the kids thought it would really be able to talk and bring them things. They had fun making it and said they compromised a lot--alien antennas and pipe cleaner pigtails, purple and blue, eyelashes on one eye and a a big eyebrow on the other. So cute!

This is how Jayne sleeps--yep, she is doing the splits! I don't know how that can be comfortable.

We are so happy Jayne is feeling better because she is finally pushing up again and using her little muscles!

Jayne learned to hold her own bottle this month! Yipee! Now I just have to get her drinking out of a sippy cup.

Elle and Easton love to push each other back and forth on the sled in our "huge" backyard (We wish!)

They love driving the Barbie Jeeps! We got these great pictures thanks to Rick! Doesn't Easton look so cute driving in Sadie's purple jeep?

Day at the Dinosaur Museum

We took the kids to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point and had so much fun! Easton is obsessed with Dinosaurs lately so he loved it!

Elle and Easton loved digging for little dinosaurs in the sand

Jayne's new funny face smile is so cute!

Easton thought he was uncovering a real Dinosaur fossil. So cute! They could have stayed there for hours!

Snowy Days

I must admit, I didn't used to be a fan of the snow. Coming from California, I just wasn't used to the cold weather. But in the past few years, I've started to really like the snow! It's so pretty and there are so many fun things to do!

We went snowshoeing with Foxes and Fletchers. It is one of my favorite winter activities and great exercise too!

The guys got hot and were all peeling off clothing

The girls

We went to Litttle Cottonwood Canyon with Fletchers to play in the snow one day

Don and the kids had a snowball fight with Jayne smiling on his back the whole time

Elle, Drake and Easton loved throwing snowballs at Don
