Laguna Beach

I love the beach and so do Elle and Easton, so when Tanna invited us to go to Laguna Beach for a week, we said YES! Her aunt and uncle have a place there and said Tanna could use it for the week and she was so nice to invite Jill and I to come with our kids. We were a little nervous about the flight over with all our little ones, getting rental cars and getting to the condo, but once we got settled, we knew it would be so fun--and it was!!! The three of us with our 7 kids--3 two-year-olds, a 4-year old, 2 five-year olds and an 8-year old. We had the BEST time! The week flew by! We sat on the beach, played in the waves, looked for crabs, built sand castles, swam at the pool, ate at fun little places, rode the Trolley into town, visited the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, went to Balboa Park and Huntington Beach for the day and had fun just talking and laughing. It was such a fun week! We could have stayed forever except that we all missed our husbands and the kids really wanted to see their dads. Great memories! Thank you Tanna for an amazing week!

All of us on the beach

Easton, Drake and Elle loved playing in the water!

Playing in the sand--Easton, Ava, Elle, Drake

Mia, Jayne, Ila

A huge wave came up one day and got everyone's things on the beach soaked. It came out of nowhere and surprised everyone! Poor Tanna's phone and camera got ruined. :(

They had a blast sliding down the sand hills with the boogie boards

Elle's sand star

Jill and I had fun building sandcastles with the boys

Jayne and Ila playing in the sand

Easton loved looking in all the tidepools at the sea anenome and crabs

Drake and Easton made friends with some older kids that were so cute to help them find crabs

Then they built a little home for the crabs in the sand (We let them go later that day)

There was this neat pool made of rock in the ocean that was perfect to play in

We had so much fun playing on the beach that we could have just sat there all week. But, we did go on a few outings.

Trolley ride into town for ice cream

Dinner at Ruby's Diner with the best chocolate peanut butter banana shakes. Yummy!

Early morning crew watching cartoons

SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL

We went to the Sawdust Art Festival

I saw this painting and couldn't resist!

All the kids having popcorn at the Sawdust Festival

A visit to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center where they take care of seals and sea lions that have become hurt until they can go back into the wild

Tanna comes to Laguna Beach a lot and had all these fun places and things to show us. She really wanted Jill and I to try this fun little cafe she loves so she watched the kids one morning while we had a quick breakfast. We took Elle with us and made it a special little outing. It was delicious! Thank you Tanna!

Breakfast at Rose Bakery on our way to Balboa Park
