Bikes and Hikes...

Oh, how I love the summer time... It goes by way too fast but we are trying to fit in all we can!

PARK CITY BIKE RIDE
We loaded up our bikes and headed to Park City with Fletchers and Sparks. Jill found a bike trail that would be fun to do as families and we wanted to try it out. It was a beautiful trail and a really easy ride. Elle, Statton, Drake and Easton all rode their bikes and Alli and all the babies rode in trailers. All was well until Easton did a face plant on the asphalt at the end. Poor kid is always getting scraped up on his face. He was tough though. We had pizza and went swimming after. Fun night!Fletchers on the trail

DOUGHNUT FALLS
We took the kids on an easy hike to Doughnut Falls one evening. Don and I have been there a few times snow shoeing but never in the summer so we wanted to check it out. The kids loved climbing on the rocks and exploring. A great hike for kids!

CECRET LAKE
I guess we hadn't had enough so the next night we got together with our friends, Fletchers and Orellanas, and hiked up to Cecret Lake. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year! The wildflowers are amazing! We had a great time visiting with our friends, Alan & Jill and Troy & Jen while we hiked. Elle and Sadie were so excited to see all the pretty flowers and Easton had a lot of fun with Drake too. The most exciting part of the night though was when we ran into a big moose on our way up to the lake. It was so neat to see it close up. The kids played a little bit at the lake and then as we were hiking back down, it started raining. We ran to our cars and got hot chocolate on our way home. Another fun night!

Jayne was soaked by the time we got to our car in the rain. She didn't mind though! She is so cute!
