Tubes, tubes, more tubes and goodbye tonsils!!!

Elle has always had problems with her ears. When she was a baby she would get an ear infection, go on antibiotics, it would clear up for a few weeks and then she would get another one. We were at the doctor's office all the time. She has already had two sets of tubes in her ears so we thought she had grown out of it. Whenever Elle gets sick, she complains about her ears a little bit but then she will sleep with a heating pad and it goes away. For the past six months though, she has been complaining about them pretty often. I decided I better take her in to the ENT. I'm so glad I did. Both ears were full of infection and the one ear drum was about to rupture. I feel so bad! While we were there, I asked if he would check her tonsils too because I noticed she was snoring SO loud lately. He did and said they were completely infected, assymetrical and huge! There was barely any space in her mouth to swallow!

So... we had a date at the Riverton Primary Children's Hospital on July 14th. Elle was really excited to get her tonsils out because Dr. Hill said that she could have all the chocolate milk and popsicles she wanted and Grandpa Don brought over 6 bags of them! We were glad she wasn't scared at all. She did great! Everything went well and Elle recovered really quickly! She feels better, can probably hear better and the snoring is gone!

She was a little disoriented after the surgery. She cried and didn't understand why her mouth hurt so bad. They gave her medicine and then she ate her slushy and held her doll she colored.
